I am new to sewing. Would it be ok to purchase a refurbished machine? This is the one I'm considering: http://www.overstock.com/Crafts-Sewing/Brother-XR9000-120-stitch-Function-Computerized-Sewing-Machine-w-Alphabet-Font/4363751/product.html Thanks, I'm now considering the same one but from an Ebay dealer that does repairs on their own. The Overstock one did not have the 25 year warranty, wheras the Ebay dealer does. As you are new to sewing, this machine would work well and it is a good price for the beginner. You should consider the platinum protection plan just to be safe. |
