You can buy this in different sizes and shapes. They also perform multiple functionalities. They are for storing pins and for sharpening pins. There are also those that have a magnetic center so that you can easily pick up pins that are accidentally dropped. There are also those that are featured as wristbands so that you can just wear the pins while sewing.
- Seam gauge or buttonhole
These two basically perform the same functionalities. They are used for placing button holes or seams. They are also used for spacing pleats, for measuring hems and for making tucks.
- Seam ripper
These are small hook-shaped knives. They are very important in every sewing kit or basket. They are use for removing stitches. All you need to do is to slide the seam ripen through the stitches and you can already remove the stitching completely.
